We found large numbers of American White Pelicans on a visit to Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge

My Russian Sage was the last flower blooming in the fall. A large number of Eastern Bumble Bees had spent the night sleeping on the sage. In the morning they were covered with frost.

One of my favorite activities during the winter is to drive down the Mississippi River and photograph Bald Eagles. During the winter 100’s of Bald Eagles gather to fish in the open water. More photos from Reads Landing can be found on my Website.
