We had a good day looking for birds at Crex Meadows. We encountered the pair of eagles at the start of our visit.

Black Bear

We had several visits from a young black bear this summer. I had just finished putting the bird feeding station back together when we had a second visit. This time it was in the middle of the day. I was watching TV and missed all of the action. My wife came by and told me there was a bear at the bird feeder. He already had the feeder down by the time I saw him.

Osprey

The Osprey was carrying nesting materials.
