I capture this series of photos of Trumpeter Swans taking off at their Hudson, Wisconsin wintering grounds.

Mallard Ducks in a small pond.

I rarely have squirrels at my feeders. I seen them out and about in the woods but they rarely venture to my feeder. This is the first one to show up in several years. He spent over a half an hour eating sunflower seeds. I fully expected him to return another day but he has not been back.

Spring Cattails.

Photos from a winter visit to Willow River State Park.

I found these galls on some Pussy Willows.

Recent birds at my feeder.

American Goldfinch

Red-bellied Woodpecker

Blue Jay

Ripples in several small streams flowing into the Red Cedar River.

Skunk Cabbage is the first flower to bloom in the spring. These were found along the Red Cedar Trail.

Trumpeter swans taking off is a sight to see. It takes them a long time to become airborne. More Trumpeter Swan photos can be found on my website.
