A common bird at my winter feeder.

This has been a very strange March. We have never seen so many White-tailed Deer around the farm. It has is not uncommon to see over thirty in a day. This small group was out in the edge of the prairie eating lower hanging branches.

Pileated Woodpeckers are a frequent visitor to my feeders. I think there is a pair of them in the woods. Normally the female vists but the male ocassionally turns up.

I’m not sure what is going happening, but I had quite a few photos on my trail camera where White-tailed Deer appeared to be posing for selfies. Maybe they were bored with all the snow on the ground.
