My wife and I took the opportunity to drive out to Hoffman Hills Recreation Area and walk around the prairie. These were some of the flowers and insects we found.

It must have mating season because the Dogbane Leaf Beetles could be found all over the milkweed plants.

The White Water Lilies were blooming. Since they are fairly fresh it was easy to find some to photograph that were not covered with bugs or debris.

The Milkweed and the Common and Swamp Milkweed were starting to bloom. We did see a few Monarch Butterflies throughout the Meadows.
