We had an early fall snowfall so I decided to walk out into the woods to take some photos of the fall leaves and the snow. It turned out most of my photos were fall leaf abstracts take my moving the camera or moving the lens.

Spring is a great time to photograph backlit leaves. Early in the year the leaves have a appear translucent making for some great photos.

These photos were also taken on a sunny day using a variable neutral density filter to allow me to photograph at a slow speed. They were produced by using camera and lens movement.

Every once in a while I get bored with my normal photograph and try something different. These photographs were taken out among my wildflowers on a bright sunny day. I was able to create a low light condition by using my Variable Neutral Density filter. With the camera set to a slow speed I used various camera movements to create something a little different.

One of my favorite places to photograph on the farm is a grove of Sumac. These were taken on a foggy morning.

On a gloomy day I decided to walk around my woods and create some forest abstract photographs.

With the reduced number of photo opportunities in the winter I occasionally turn to creating abstract photos using various techniques. Here is a brief sampling of my efforts.
